 Message for the week:

A potent start to the week in the heavens that gets more intense as the week goes on. Monday has three important cosmic events with the Full Moon in Capricorn, Mercury turning retrograde and Jupiter moving into dramatic, bold Leo. Cancer’s Full Moon in Capricorn activates the security axis—worldly security with Capricorn (work and finances) and personal, emotional security with Cancer (family and personal life) The Full Moon is the time to reflect on the balance of Capricorn and Cancer in your life. Have you been overfocused on one and not tending enough on the other? Which is calling for greater attention?

Mercury retrograde for the next three weeks brings unfinished business from the past to mind. A good time to tackle those projects you’ve been meaning to get to. Also, this is a good time to connect with long lost friends from the past.

Jupiter in “play big” Leo for the year ahead will increase your confidence and the urge to express yourself creatively—and should way increase the fun factor!

Mars will be conjunct unpredictable Uranus for the holiday weekend—breakthroughs and breakups can be expected. There is always concern over terrorist attacks and random acts of violence when these two get together. However, this conjunction is in harmonious aspects to Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto, so we can look for the best of what this cosmic accelerator aspect offers—liberation from whatever has been holding you back.

Monday: A potent day in the heavens with Mercury turning retrograde, Jupiter moving into dramatic Leo, and a Full Moon, all occurring today. The Moon starts the day in normally focused Capricorn, but you may find yourself a little spaced out and absentminded this morning while the Moon is square to daydreamy Neptune. The Full Moon occurs at 4:57 PM PDT in Capricorn opposite the Sun in Cancer, activating your security issues—worldly (Capricorn) and personal (Cancer). Jupiter moves into “play big or go home” Leo, bringing more confidence and fun! Mercury turning retrograde favors paying attention to the current “to do” list, rather than initiating new endeavors.

Tuesday: You may wake up with a heavy feeling of pressing responsibilities with the Moon in responsible Capricorn in a nagging square to burdensome Saturn. However, with no other major aspects, a highly productive day unfolds. The Moon does form a quizzical quincunx to Venus in Leo this evening, provoking the question of whether to do something fun or productive. Choose one—don’t stay with the question.

Wednesday: A busy day with many aspects. The Moon starts the day in Capricorn opposite Mercury, creating a dilemma between what feels right and what makes sense—stay with the practical (Capricorn approved). You may have big plans and big goals by midday as the Moon moves into Aquarius opposite “bigger is better” Jupiter and trine to empowering Mars. You may feel very lit up mentally tonight with the Moon aspecting all three outer planets—something compelling grabs your attention, bringing nearly revelatory insights.

Thursday: A good day for friendships, brainstorming, and group meetings with the Moon in socially aware Aquarius. While the Moon is quincunx the Sun in Cancer this morning, you may have a passing mood that something doesn’t feel right that you can’t quite name. The Moon moves into a supportive sextile with authoritarian Saturn this afternoon, creating a favorable climate for pitching an idea to the boss or following through on your innovative ideas.

Friday: The Moon is in freedom loving Aquarius opposite Venus this morning tickling the love button. A good day for friendships, brainstorming, group activities and socializing. You may have to adjust your plans this afternoon to accommodate someone’s sensitivities while the Moon is in a quincunx to Mercury. Things can get a bit wild and crazy late tonight when Mars conjuncts Uranus, touching a match to the urge to be free. The Moon enters dreamy Pisces very late tonight, facilitating a restful, deep sleep.

Saturday: Happy Holiday! A wild card day with Mars, the planet of action, conjunct “anything goes” Uranus—be cautious with reckless behavior from you or others.  Mars is also in a harmonious sextile to Neptune today, which will help soften the energy—music can help set the tone for gatherings. You may have an edgy start to an otherwise emotionally smooth day with the Moon in emotionally sensitive Pisces square to the Mars/Uranus conjunction in the early morning and then no other aspects through the day.

Sunday: A smooth day emotionally with the Moon in “go with the flow” Pisces in a supportive trine to Mercury—poets, songwriters, and romantics will benefit with this enhanced ability to express feelings. Mars is a flowing trine to Pluto, bringing deep reserves of energy to draw upon.
